APPLICATION PROCESSThe Kimball Foundation does not give to individuals and all applicants must have 501(c)(3) and 509(a) IRS Tax Classification status. Your lawyer or accountant can help in this regard, if you are a newly created organization or are unsure what this status is. Three main things are needed to apply for funds from the Foundation:
It should also be noted that any requests received after July 15th of any year will run the risk of not being considered in that year being that the meetings for distribution of gifts are held in March, June, August and October. Please submit your request applications with this schedule in mind. This website allows you to apply online. The Kimball Foundation realizes that some charitable organizations are not equipped with the necessary computer related equipment to make application "on-line". Most public libraries have facilities and equipment to allow you to access online applications. As a result, the Foundation will still take applications by mail, however we will not be able to process these as rapidly. Hence, we encourage all applicants to use the Internet wherever possible.
